About

Hi, I’m Shoshana

I’m a Boston-based photographer, and I’ve been shooting since 2018. My favorite moments to capture are the ones nobody plans: a real laugh, a quiet glance, a crowd getting loud.

I like to keep sessions easygoing. I’ll give you a little direction so you feel comfortable, and then we’ll let things unfold naturally. The goal is photos that feel like you, and a shoot you actually enjoy.

Have something in mind? I’d love to hear about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does booking work?
  1. Reach out and tell me about what you have in mind.
  2. A 50% deposit holds your date.
  3. I’ll send a short questionnaire so I can get to know you and what you’re hoping for.
  4. The remaining balance is due the day before your session, and then we’re all set!
Where will we shoot?

Wherever feels right for you! If you have a spot you love, we can shoot there. If not, I’ll happily suggest a few places that fit the look you’re going for.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you feel most confident. I’d steer away from stripes and plaid, and from anything you can’t move around in comfortably.

Once you book, I’ll send you a what-to-wear guide with more ideas.

When is the best time for a session?

I usually suggest starting about an hour before sunset. The light is soft and golden, and everyone looks glowy.

What if the weather is bad?

No worries. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll find a new date that works for both of us at no extra cost.

I get nervous in front of the camera. Is that okay?

Completely okay, and very common! Most people feel a little awkward at first. I’ll guide you with easy prompts and simple things to do, like walking, laughing, and talking to each other, so you don’t have to think about posing. Before long you’ll forget the camera is there.

How long until I get my photos?

Your fully edited gallery will be ready in about 3 weeks. I’ll send it as soon as it’s done.

Do you edit or retouch the photos?

I keep my edits natural. I polish the light and color, but I don’t reshape bodies or change how you look. You’ll see yourself in every photo, just at your best.
